We begin with breaking news out of Seneca, South Carolina. State law enforcement has confirmed an overnight shooting involving a deputy. Just after midnight, deputies responded to a welfare check at an apartment complex on Gale Court.
Authorities say a man inside set his apartment on fire and exchanged gunfire with a deputy before fleeing to a nearby home. The homeowner then shot the suspect, who was later detained and taken to the hospital. Fortunately, no deputies were injured.
