In 2018, a crew of passionate, local radio veterans realized the Greenville community over the age of 35 was being vastly under-served by the FM dial. Born to fill that void, WRTH Kool-FM (101.5 FM & 107.7 FM) is a passionate, nonprofit project dedicated to playing the music we all truly love.
Built by Carolinians, For Carolinians
Our station is owned by Greenville-based Quality Radio Partners and led by Dave Solomon. A Carolina-born broadcaster with deep roots in the region, Dave made his mark managing and directing classic hits and oldies stations in major markets like Raleigh/Durham, Greensboro/Winston-Salem, and Myrtle Beach. Today, he brings that deep industry expertise and local passion straight to the Upstate.
The Sound You Love
We don’t just play the massive, chart-topping hits from the mid-60s through the 90s—we dig into the crates to bring back the forgotten songs and hidden gems you haven’t heard in years. To top off our truly unique, locally-focused sound, we mix in a healthy dose of authentic Carolina Beach music.
A Name That Lasts
Originally launched as Oldies 101.5, we rebranded as Oldies Radio Kool-FM upon adding 107.7 to our coverage and a radio station FCC call letter change. The new name not only gives us punchy, memorable station jingles, but it is also completely future-proof. As our Carolina oldies “mini-network” grows and accommodates more stations, Oldies Radio Kool-FM provides a lasting banner we can proudly call home.
