Breaking news from Oconee County — a 19-year-old was shot near the beach area of Lake Hartwell. According to the sheriff’s office, the shooting happened around 7:30 PM near Pickens Bend Range Road.
A group of people had been swimming when an argument escalated into gunfire. The teen was taken to the hospital, but their current condition has not been released.
Deputies are still investigating and working to determine who was involved.
