A fourth measles case has been confirmed in South Carolina, according to the state Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC). The infected individual is an unvaccinated resident of the Upstate with no immunity from a previous infection—and notably, no known exposure to anyone with measles. Health officials stress that measles is highly contagious and spreads through the air when an infected person breathes, coughs, or sneezes. WSPA 7 News has the latest.
