Parking frustrations in Greenville’s West Village have reached a boiling point — but a recent petition from small business owners is starting to bring change.
After over 1,200 signatures, city officials have announced short-term and long-term solutions, including 22 new free parking spaces and plans for a 400-space parking garage in the West End.
Business owners say it’s a step in the right direction but question whether the proposals will truly solve the problem.
The city is continuing to assess parking availability and consider options.
