State agents are investigating after a deadly deputy-involved shooting in Greenville County. Deputies responded to a trespassing call Sunday afternoon on Stegall Circle. According to Sheriff Hobart Lewis, the man armed himself with a weapon, leading a deputy to fire. The suspect was taken to the hospital but later died. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is conducting an independent investigation while the sheriff’s office carries out an internal review. No deputies were hurt.
