As part of WSPA’s First Responder Friday, the Clemson University Fire Department was honored live from the Zip Trip in Clemson. Interim Chief Aaron Bunyea showcased some of the department’s latest life-saving equipment, including a new 75-foot ladder truck, a quick response vehicle (QRV), and a one-of-a-kind TNT spreader — uniquely colored in Clemson orange and purple.
The team shared how their QRV helped save a patient’s life just minutes before an ambulance arrived and demonstrated how their dual-purpose fire engine enhances rescue operations. Harrison’s USA also joined in to thank the department with a special gift, recognizing the critical role these first responders play in protecting the community — including Clemson students.
🙌 Thank you to the men and women of the Clemson University Fire Department for their dedication and service!
