Migrant camp along Texas border shrinks as removals ramp up

DEL RIO, Texas (AP) — A camp where almost 15,000 migrants had waited along the Texas border just days ago is now dramatically smaller. But across the river in Mexico, migrants in a growing camp awoke Thursday surrounded by security forces. Both governments appear eager to end the increasingly politicized humanitarian situation at the border. The number of migrants at the border camp had been reduced to about 4,000 on Thursday morning as U.S. authorities had ramped up efforts to remove migrants from the camp. The Biden administration’s special envoy to Haiti, Daniel Foote, submitted a letter of resignation protesting the “inhumane” large-scale expulsions of Haitian migrants.
Man arrested after police attempted stop for reckless driving, stolen motorcycle

BELTON, SC (FOX CAROLINA) - A man has been arrested after police learned the motorcycle he was driving was stolen when police stopped him for reckless driving, according to the Belton Police Department. Police say it happened on O-Neal Street in Belton when a man was driving recklessly on a motorcycle. When police attempted to stop him, the man ran into a house where he knew the occupants, says police. They say he surrendered 30 minutes later. According to police, Robert Tyler Saxon was charged with driving under suspension and possession of stolen property. Police say the motorcycle was stolen out of Greenville City. They also say Saxon has warrants out of Anderson City. BCSO: Deputies search for two suspects wanted for armed robbery

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, NC (FOX CAROLINA) - The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office is attempting to find two men wanted for armed robbery. According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies say on September 22 they responded to an armed robbery in the Leicester area. They say as a result of this ongoing investigation, detectives from have charged 21-year-old Deandre Holloway with conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and robbery with a dangerous weapon. They also say the suspect was also found to be the one of the suspects of an armed robbery that happened on July 25, 2021 in the Candler Community. Deputies say as a result of this investigation, detectives have charged both Holloway and 26-year-old Tommie Lee Holloway Jr. with conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and robbery with a dangerous weapon. According to the Sheriff's Office, detectives are requesting any information regarding the location of the suspects.
