Jackson County Deputies arrest suspect on assault, firearms charges

JACKSON COUNTY, NC (FOX Carolina)- The Jackson County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a suspect on numerous charges. Kenneth William McCall of Tuskegee, North Carolina was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and discharging a weapon into occupied property, according to a release from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office. Deputies say they were notified of a shooting that occurred near Pinhook Valley Campground off Charley's Creed Rd. by the Transylvania County Sheriff's Office. According to deputies, the shooting victim, William Walker McCall, was driven by a friend into Transylvania County while seeking medical attention and stopped at McCall’s Grocery and Gas in Rosman. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office say that they are working with the Transylvania County Sheriff's Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. The shooting victim was transported to Mission Hospital with life threatening injuries, according to the release. Deputies say that the investigation is still ongoing but no further suspects are being sought. According to the release, Kenneth McCall is currently being held at the Jackson County Detention Center. Relentless says church to continue operating on Haywood Road 'permanently' as Redemption announces plan to return to Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) - Lawyers for Relentless Church said Friday mediation has ended in a lawsuit with Redemption Church and Relentless will continue to operate on Haywood Road. Below is a statement on behalf of the church leadership on the matter: After mediation, it is settled that Relentless prevails and shall continue operating permanently at the property at Haywood Rd campus. Relentless will continue to serve the Upstate community and the globe. We wish Redemption the best in ministry moving forward. The news comes after Redemption's pastor, Ron Carpenter, announced a Redemption campus would be coming back to Greenville. Redemption said they plan to make an announcement regarding a new Greenville campus on Saturday evening. A spokesperson for the Carpenters said they would release a statement regarding the mediation decision after the event on Saturday. The churches have been embroiled in <a href="https://www.foxcarolina.com/news/redemption-church-files-legal-paperwork-to-try-to-evict-relentless-church/article_b55b8c66-2dab-11ea-a89f-0bd4c0d65b34.html" target="_blank">a legal battle since January 2020</a> when Redemption Church filed a court document requesting Relentless Church be ejected from the campus on Haywood Road. Redemption Church occupied the space until Relentless Pastor John Gray took it over in 2017. Deputies: Heroin, cocaine, crack seized in Anderson County drug arrest

PENDLETON, SC (FOX Carolina)- The Anderson County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a man on multiple drug and weapons charges. Deputies say they arrested Donald Dane Jenkins Jr. on Wednesday with assistance from the Pendleton Police Department. Deputies say that upon executing a search warrant on Winston St. in Pendleton, they recovered nearly a kilogram of heroin, nearly two kilograms of cocaine, and around 47 grams of crack cocaine. According to the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, deputies also recovered several firearms, marijuana and an unspecified amount of U.S. currency Deputies say that Jenkins is currently being held at the Anderson County Detention Center and is being charged with with trafficking cocaine, heroin, crack cocaine as well as possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
