SCHP: 1 dead after crash on White Horse Rd. in Greenville County

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX CAROLINA NEWS) - One person is dead after a crash in Greenville County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Troopers say the crash happened at 6:26 p.m. on White Horse Road near East Bourne Road. According to Highway Patrol, a motorcyclist was traveling south on White Horse Road and a Nissan was traveling north on White Horse Road. They say the Nissan attempted to turn left into a private driveway when it was hit by the motorcycle. Troopers say the driver of the Nissan has been charged with failure to yield right-of-way. Donations pour in for Missouri man freed after 43 years

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — More than $1.4 million has been raised for a man who spent 43 years behind bars before a judge overturned his conviction in a triple killing. The GoFundMe fundraiser to benefit Kevin Strickland had raised nearly $1.5 million as of Saturday evening. The Midwest Innocence Project set up the online fundraiser as they fought for his release, noting that he wouldn’t receive compensation from Missouri and needed help paying for basic living expenses. The state only allows wrongful imprisonment payments to people who were exonerated through DNA evidence, so the 62-year-old Strickland wouldn't qualify.
SLED: Agents are investigating an infant's death in Williamston

WILLIAMSTON, SC (FOX Carolina)- The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) announced that they are helping the Williamston Police Department investigate an infant's death. Agents said the Williamston Police Department asked them to help with the investigation. They responded to the scene on Saturday, November 27, 2021. The Williamston Police Department said requesting SLED assistance is standard protocol in infant death investigations.
